Released Time is a legal way for public school students to attend Bible classes during the school day, with parental permission and without cost to public schools. All volunteers are background checked, vetted and trained. Students are signed up by their parents, at no cost to parents or schools.
The North Olmsted School District has adopted a Released Time Bible Education policy as required by state law (https://codes.ohio.gov/ohio-revised-code/section-3313.6022). No public funds are expended and no public school personnel are involved in providing the religious instruction. All courses happen off-site of school property.
Local churches in North Olmsted, OH work together to supply volunteers, teachers, prayer, and other support. All volunteers and teachers are background-checked and vetted before being allowed to have access to students. No volunteer is ever permitted to be alone with a student. All volunteers and teachers are properly trained.
They are held off-site of school campus at a local church building. Columbia Road Baptist Church has offered to let us use their facilities. They are located at 4116 Columbia Road, North Olmsted, OH 44070.
They are held during the school day during a non-core curriculum class time like lunch period, recess, or study hall/homeroom. Students typically meet once per week for a Bible class.
Wings Bible Education will transport your student to and from the course location.

- SMART is a local, multidenominational Christian ministry partnering with local churches to serve public school students in Northeast Ohio. We offer fun and engaging Bible lessons, along with literacy skills and character development.
